By: Gleason Center Editors, Dr. Daniel Gleason DC Chiropractic care is an alternative therapy that focuses on the musculoskeletal and nervous system. A chiropractic adjustment (or spinal manipulation) corrects structural alignment of the body, promotes physical function, and improves neurological function. At The Gleason Center, we use the integration of muscles, joints, nerves, exercise, nutrition, and stress management in our chiropratic treatment plans. Treatment and recovery happens in our three phases of care. PHASE 1: RELIEF CARE In the first phase of care, our main goal is to reduce your symptoms. This may take four visits or it may take six depending on your body and your condition. Once you're feeling better, you may decide to continue healing with phase two or simply wait and call back if symptoms return. It's up to you! PHASE 2: RESTORATIVE CARE During phase two, you'll see us less often. This phase may last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on your personal health goals. Here are a few goals for phase two:
PHASE 3: WELLNESS CARE Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care can help keep you feeling good. In the same way that you need to continue an exercise program and maintain a healthy diet in order to feel the benefits, we recommend that you continue chiropractic care to ensure the health of your musculoskeletal system. The doctors and staff at Lovett Chiropractic in Amarillo, TX really enjoy taking care of people in pain. I know. It's weird. Back pain, neck pain, headaches, pinched nerves, sciatica, slipped and bulged discs all seem to get us excited. We know we have an opportunity to make your life better than you were yesterday, without the use of medicines or surgery (...booze, drugs, Amazon and Google pain relief oddities floating around).

It was fascinating to know that relief care may take four sessions to reduce symptoms. My friend should know this since his back pain keeps coming back. I think it's time for him to schedule an appointment with a chiropractic adjustment service.

I like that you talked about how the symptoms will be reduced in the first phase of care from chiropractors, and it can take about four to six visits to achieve this. In that case, I will be suggesting to my husband to see a spine care therapy specialist to help him with his lower back. It seems that he put so much stress on that part of his spine when he cycled for the first time last weekend.

Thank you for making this kind of information available to the general population. Particularly for someone like myself who knows very little about it, it is incredibly helpful.
