By: Gleason Center Editors, Dr. Daniel Gleason DC Laser therapy is a powerful tool our doctors use everyday to help heal chronic pain and inflammation. In this post, we'll answer some of your most frequently asked questions about laser therapy and its benefits. Q. What is laser therapy? A. Laser therapy is a non invasive, painless therapy that kick starts your body's own healing process. Photons of laser energy penetrate deeply into tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. As a result of exposure to the MLS Laser, cells of tendons, ligaments, and muscles repair themselves faster. As inflammation is reduced, pain subsides very quickly. Q. How does laser therapy help my body heal? A. Cells injured by disease or trauma become dormant, no longer able to heal themselves. Laser light recharges your cell’s “batteries”, much like what the sun does to plants. Thus they start healing, reducing inflammation and pain. Watch here. Q. Will I feel anything during treatment? A. Treatment visits may be used interchangeably for Laser or PEMF Therapy: Single Treatment $55, 6 Treatments $265, 10 Treatments $400. Q. How long do the results last? A. I loved how you said that it can help your muscles repair faster and reduce pain. My sister has been dealing with plantar fasciitis for the past couple of months, and she talked about how she wants to find a way to treat it properly. I'll pass this information along to her so she can look into seeing a podiatrist about MLS laser therapy.
