Our Approach
In treating the whole person, Dr. Gleason and his staff use a variety of modalities to address the effects of structural, chemical, and mental stressors.
Corrective Exercises
Muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. We teach our patients exercises and stretches specifically designed to correct their unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home or at your gym. They can help your body stay in balance and in health.
Lifestyle Advice
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain lifestyle changes they need to make to improve their health. Our goal is to help each patient achieve an active, fulfilling and happy lifestyle. Through a collaboration between our staff and our patients we discover the optimal physical, mental and nutritional protocol for each individual.
Nutritional Counseling
Do you know which supplements you need to restore optimal health? Everywhere you look there are articles and advertisements touting the benefits of one particular product or another. But there is no one-size-fits all supplement program. We use lab tests to determine your specific needs for nutritional supplementation and food you need to eat or avoid. We provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs and monitor your progress.
Laser Therapy
The Gleason Center offers a non-invasive, painless treatment for acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. After an examination by Dr. Gleason, patients receive a series of six to ten treatments, each lasting 20-30 minutes. Benefits may include pain relief, reduced inflammation and swelling, improved circulation, better lymphatic drainage and increased range of motion.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients as well as providing a host of other benefits for physical and mental well being. These may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms, and aid in recovery and range of motion. Patricia Hubert, a licensed massage therapist in our office, provides specific massage and muscular therapy tailored to each patient's condition.
